NIF Fellowship 2023 New India Foundation: The New India Foundation invites applications for scholarships for the year 2023. The New India Foundation is a Bangalore-based organization that primarily encourages scholars and writers to write about India’s history. This time too, the institution has invited applications for the NIF New India Fellowship 2023 from those candidates who write on various aspects of the history of independent India. Eligibility Criteria for New India Foundation Fellowship 2023 :

• New India Fellowship is open for Indian nationals.
• Those Indians who are currently living in Abroad are also eligible for NIF scholarship
• New India Fellowships are awarded to scholars and writers working on different aspects of the history of independent India.
• Previous NIF New India Fellowship selected fellows are also eligible to apply for the same.

NIF Fellowship Award:

• A total of 5-10 applicants will be selected and awarded with fellowship.
• New India Fellowships are awarded for a period of One (1) year of duration.
• The selected candidates will be provided with a Stipend of Rs. One Lac Fifty Thousand (1,50,0000) per month.

Applications for the 10th round of fellowships are now open.

The Fellowship is only open to Indian Citizens and past NIF Fellows can also apply.

• Fill all the details in the fellowship application form such as Name, Nationality, Occupation, address, email, mobile and telephone number, date of birth, gender, educational qualification, etc.
• Upload or attach all the documents with the application form.
• After filling all the details and attaching the documents, submit the application form

Required Documents for New India Foundation Fellowship:

• All the below mentioned documents should be uploaded only in docs and pdf, not more than 10 MB
• Curriculum Vitae of the candidate
• Book Proposal (not more than 5000 words)
• Writing Sample (not more than 5000 words)

Terms and Conditions

• Fellowship holders are expected to write original books.
• Their proposal should be oriented towards the final publication and outline a road map towards that destination.
• The books written by the fellows convey original research in an accessible manner to different constituencies.
• Each book is published by a prestigious publishing house.

Selection Process for New India Foundation Fellowship :

• From all received applications, only 15-20 applications will be shortlisted.
• All the shortlisted applications will be reviewed by the jury and called for an interview.
• The team of a jury consisting of famous people from the worlds of scholarship, business, and social service.
• And finally, 5-10 candidates are awarded the New India Foundation fellowship in 2023.
• Fellowship holders are expected to write original books.
• Their proposals should be oriented towards final publication, and outline a road map towards that destination.
