e-Medhabruti Scholarship 2023

e-Medhabruti Scholarship 2023 is presented by the Department of Higher Education (DHE) government of Odisha for the meritorious students to encourage and motivate the students of Odisha for higher education in the field of General, P. G., Technical and Professional education. The eligible candidates can obtain the scholarship amount as per the scholarship they apply. Number of scholarships are awarded to the students every year. The students of Odisha who have scored admission in Technical and Professional institutions inside or outside the state or in the national institutes ( as specified by the Government of Odisha) will be provided with the scholarship amount and other facilities under e-Medhabruti Scholarship 2023-24.

Types of Scholarship awarded by the Higher Education Department Odisha:

•  Senior Merit  – 3000 Scholarships are available
•  PG Merit (General) – 1500 scholarships are available
•  Technical/Professional – 10,000 scholarships are available for students

Last Date For e Medhabruti Scholarship: 31st December 2023

Eligibility Criteria for e-Medhabruti Scholarship 2023 :​

• To be eligible for e-Medhabruti Scholarship, the applicant must be a permanent resident of Odisha.
• The students parents annual Income should not more than Rs. Six Lacs (Rs. 6,00,000/-) from all sources.
• Students shall apply for medhabruti only in the year of joining.

 For Senior Merit :

Students must have passed +2 of CHSE, Odisha/Class 12 or equivalent exm with 60% or more marks from an institution recognized by CBSE/ICSE and must be pursuing regular Degree Course/ +3 course in any of the recognized colleges or institutions or Universities.

For P. G. Merit :

Students must have passed +3 Degree or equivalent exm with 60% or more marks from a recognized institute and must be pursuing regular Course in one of the disciplines in any of the recognized colleges or institutions or Universities.

For Technical & Professional Merit :

Students must have passed +2 of CHSE/ CBSE/ ICSE or equivalent exm or +3 Degree/ equivalent 2/3 year course with 60% or more marks and pursuing regular Technical & Professional courses in the colleges or institutions recognizede by respective regulatory authorities.

Not Eligible :

1. Those candidates are not eligible for scholarship whose parental annual income is more than Rs. 6,00,000/- from all sources.
2. Those students who are pursuing their higher study through open universities or distance learning /correspondence.
3. Those students who are already availing scholarship for pursuing the higher study under any other schemes of State or Central Government are not eligible.
4. Students pursuing Diploma level courses, M’Tech and lntegrated B’Tech’courses are not eligible for Technical/Professional scholarship.
5. Students of M.Phil and Ph.D and students of B’ Ed ‘ M’Ed ‘lntegrated B’Sc B’Ed and lntegrated B.Ed + tM.Ed are not eligible for senior ‘P’G’ or Technical & Professional merit are not entitled to apply.
6. Those students who are admitted to the College/institute/University not approved by concerned regulatory bodies (AlCTE,etc’)
7. Those students are not eligible to apply for scholarship who are studying Abroad.
8. Students completing one Technical/Professional Course pursues another Technical/Professional course are not eligible
9. Students not validated by the concerned principal/institution during 1st year of his/her admission are not eligible.

 

Application Process for e-Medhabruti Scholarship 2023 :​:​

1. The desirous candidates who fulfil all the eligibility conditions can apply for e-Medhabruti scholarship Online by going to the official website.
2. Click on the Apply for e-Medhabruti box. For the new user, click on Register and for other, provide their registered email ID and password.
3. Fill all the necessary details in the application form. And attach the passport size photograph which must be in .jpg format.
4. Check all the details you entered in the form as once you submitted will not be able to edit any field.
5. Save your Medhbruti application form and take a print out of it. On the last page of form, declaration part will be there, where you must put your signature.

Submission :

The application form must be signed and has to be submitted along with the required documents to the Principal of the college/institution where the student is studying. The applicant copy with Barcode number shall be keep aside for future use.

The application will be forwarded to the Higher Education Department through the college.

Important Note :

If the students is studying in out side Odisha, then he/She are also required to apply online for the scholarship.

 

Required Documents along with Application Form:

1. Domicile certificate to be issued by the competent authority. i.e from the concerned Tahasildar /Addl.Tahasildar. The students whose parents are working under Odisha State Govt. can produce resident proof from the employer.
2. Proof of annual income to be issued by the competent authority. i.e the Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tahasildar or Addl. Tahasildar.
3. Mark sheets & Certificate of last qualifying examination as required for different categories of merit.
   Bank Account details of the student concerned (First page of bank account containing account number and IFSC).
4. College lD card issued by concerned authority
5. Aadhar card of the student.
