Defense Research & Development Organization DRDO has introduced the “DRDO Scholarship Scheme for Girl students for the academic year 2023 under the support of the Aeronautics Research and Development Board (AR&DB), DRDO HQ. DRDO Scholarship Scheme for Girls is launched to attract women from different institutes to expose the talent of bright students throughout the country.
DRDO Scholarship Scheme for Girls is to give for Undergraduate and Postgraduate level girl students in Aerospace Engg./ Aeronautical Engg./ Space Engg./ Rocketry/ Avionics/ Aircraft Engg. under the Aeronautics Research and Development Board.
Online Application for DRDO Scholarship Scheme for Girls students are invited through RAC (Recruitment and Assessment Centre) from the students who are studying in Ist year of UG (Undergraduate) (BE/B.TECH: full time 4-year degree) and PG (Post Graduate) (M.TECH/ME: full time 2 years degree course) under “DRDO Scholarship Scheme for Girls through RAC website https://rac.gov.in.

Scholarship Eligibility
- The scholarship is available for only Girl/women students.
- The willing students must be of Indian National.
- Students must be pursuing Undergraduate /Postgraduate courses in Aerospace Engg./ Aeronautical Engg./ Space Engg./ Rocketry/ Avionics/ Aircraft Engg. under the Aeronautics Research and Development Board
Post Graduate level
- Students must be secured admission to the Ist year of ME/M.Tech./M.Sc. (Engineering) during the applying for an application for the current academic year 2023.
- Candidate must have scored minimum 60% marks in the qualifying exam OR CGPA/CPI of 6.75
- She must have a valid GATE(General Aptitude Test in Engineering) score.
Under Graduate level
- Students must have secured admission in the 1st year of BTech/ BE/ B.Sc Engg. courses during applying for an application for the current academic year 2023.
- Students must have cleared JEE (Main)
- She must have a valid JEE (Main) score
Amount of Scholarship
For Under Graduate Level:
- (Rupees One Lac Twenty Thousand ) Rs.120000 /- per year or annual fees whichever is less for a maximum period of four (4) years.
For Post Graduate Level:
- Rupees Fifteen Thousand Five Hundred) Rs.15500/- per month subject to Rs.186000/- per year for a maximum period of two (2) years.
Selection Process
Under Graduate Courses:
- First-year Undergraduate (B.E./B.Tech./BSc. Engg.) scholarship (for 4-yr full-time course) will be based
on the merit of JEE (Main). - Candidates without valid JEE (Main) score will not be entertained.
Post Graduate Courses :
- First-year Postgraduate (M.E./M.Tech./M.Sc. Engg.) scholarship (for 2 yr full-time course) will be
based on the valid GATE score on a merit basis. - The candidates without a valid GATE score will not be entertained.
DRDO Application Process
- To apply for the said scholarship, interested eligible female candidates can go for Online application which is invited by the Recruitment and Assessment Centre (RAC).

- For Registration, you have to enter email, mobile number, and password.
- Afterward, the candidate needs to enter Biodata, Photograph and upload Documents, and then submit and lock the form.
- A copy of the online submitted application form will be sent to the student’s registered e-mail id and SMS on their registered mobile number.
Documents Required
- A copy of Online submitted the Scholarship application form.
- Scanned copies of required certificates.
- A recent passport size color photo should also be uploaded (maximum size 50KB).
- Aadhaar card should be uploaded (maximum 500 KB)
- Submission of Admission proof is also required. (maximum 500 KB)
- Certificate from Institute (maximum 500 KB)
- Fees details are also required (maximum 500 KB)
