Aruna Lal Scholarships 2023

Physical Research Laboratory PRL is going to celebrate National Science Day on 29th February 2023. On the occasion of National Science Day, Aruna Lal Scholarships 2023 is going to be awarded to meritorious students. The scholarships are being offered by Aruna Lal Foundation has given to students to encourage them to practice studies in Science and related subjects. The selection of candidates shall be based on a screening test at the decided test centers. This test shall be followed by competitive events and personal interviews at Physical Research Laboratory by the panel of scientists. Aruna Lal Foundation was formated by Late Prof. Devendra Lal, former Director of PRL in the remembrance of his wife Mr. Aruna Lal.

Aruna Lal Scholarship 2023 is awarded to five (5) meritorious students for two (2) years. The students will be selected from Class 11 (Science Stream) subject to their satisfactory performance in Science subjects during higher secondary.

Date Schedule

• Last date for nomination for the screening test: 24th December 2023 05:00:00 PM
• Screening Test: 5th January 2023
• National Science Day activities at PRL: 29th February 2023

Scholarships Amount

• Aruna Lal Scholarships are awarded to the five (5) eligible students.
• The scholarship shall be given for two (2) years.
• The scholarship shall be given to the students of Class 11 (Science Stream) subject to their satisfactory performance in science subjects during higher secondary.
• The scholarship may be extended to 3rd year in the case of those awardees who study in basic sciences after 12th standard.

Eligibility Criteria 

Candidates who meet the below-mentioned eligibility criteria are eligible to get the benefits of the scholarship.

1. The students who are studying in Class 11 (Science Stream) are eligible to apply.
2. He/she must be pursuing the Science stream in Class 11 and 12.
3. Students must be studying in a Higher Secondary School in Gujarat.

Selection Criteria

The nominated students will have to pass a screening test that is available in both Online and Offline mode.

Online Screening Test:

• This screening test will be held on 5th January 2023, at 11:00 AM for the one-hour duration.
• The online test will be held in the respective school that has opted for online exam mode.
• The student should carry the admit card/slip (duly signed by his/ her school Principal) along with the school ID card.
• The question paper contains multiple-choice questions mostly covering the 11th standard Science (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology) syllabus.

Offline Screening Test:

• This screening test will be held on 5th January 2023, at 11:00 AM for the one-hour duration.
• The offline test will be held in all centers as mentioned below.
• The student should carry the admit card/slip (duly signed by his/ her school Principal) along with the school ID card.
• The question paper contains multiple-choice questions mostly covering the 11th standard Science (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology) syllabus.

How To Apply

1. The Principals of the Higher Secondary Schools in Gujarat can nominate their students for the scholarship.
2. The school shall be registered through the school registration form.
3. Fill the form with all the details.
4. Nominated student’s name must be mentioned in the form.
5. In the end, submit the form.
