Kerala DCE Post-Matric Scholarship 2023-: DCE Dept of Collegiate Education, Government of Kerala provides various scholarships to the students of the State. Post-Matric Scholarship for Minorities is one of them. Students belonging to minority communities (Muslims, Sikhs, Buddhists, Christians, Parsis, and Jains) from 11th to Ph.D., including technical and vocational courses of industrial centers affiliated to National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT), getting an education in government or recognized schools or institutes are entitled to apply for Post Matric Scholarship in Kerala.

Under this scheme, the scholarship holder is not taking any other scholarship or stipend for the same course. It is mandatory to have an Aadhaar number to apply online. In addition, 30 percent of the scholarships are reserved for girl students. Under the DCE Post-Martic Scholarship scheme, students will get a monthly stipend for higher education. All interested students can apply online for DCE Scholarship through the official website of KSHEC Portal at dcescholarship.kerala.gov.in.

Eligibility Criteria for DCE Post-Matric Scholarship for Minority

  • The student must be a domicile in Kerala state.
  • Students should belong to Minority Community (Muslim/ Christian/Buddhist/ Sikh/ Zoroastrians or Parsis).
  • He/She should be the Ist Year student of:

(i) Plus Two/ UG/ PG/ Ph.D Course of Higher Secondary School/ College/ Institutes/ University, which is either a Govt/ Aided/Recognised Unaided Institution. OR (ii) 11th Class/Technical/ Vocational Course of ITI/ITC Centres affiliated to NCVT. OR (iii) Course, other than those listed in under merit-cum-means scholarship scheme. 

  • The student must have scored not less than 50% marks or equivalent grade in the previous Board/ University Examination.
  • Students’ Family Income should not exceed Rs. 2 Lakhs per annum from all sources.
  • The applicant may not be availing any other Scholarship or Stipend.
  • Only two students from one family are eligible to take the benefits of this scholarship.

Selection Criteria for Kerala DCE Post-Matric Scholarship-: 

The selection of candidates will be made according to the criteria fixed by the Kerala State Govt. 

DCE Post-Matric Scholarship for Minority Amount Value-: 

  1. Selected candidates will be provided with an amount equivalent to Admission and Course or Tuition Fee.
  2. Maintenance Allowance will also be provided along with the above to the selected scholars.
  3. This will be provided subject to a maximum ceiling.

How to Apply for DCE Post Matric Scholarship for Minority?

  1. To apply for the DCE Post Matric Scholarship, the minority students are required to the web portal, which is www.dcescholarship.kerala.gov.in.
  2. Then to apply for an aforesaid scholarship, click on the appropriate link, i.e. DCE Post Matric scholarship.
  3. After reading all the information given, click on the Apply Online link.
  4. Enter all the details, which are required to be entered in the appropriate place.
  5. After filling all the details, upload the required documents and certificates. 
  6. After doing all the above processes take a print out of complete fill in the online application form. 
  7. Take it all with you and submit it to your respective college/institute.
