NASI- Young Scientist Platinum Jubilee Awards 2023 for Indian/Overseas Citizens of India: The National Academy of Sciences, India (NASI) inviting the nominations from the Indian citizens or Overseas citizen of India who is working in India from Young Scientist Platinum Jubilee Awards for the year 2023.

Only the citizens who are below the age of 35 years as on April 15, 2023 are entitled to apply for the aforesaid awards. This award started by NASI in order to recognize promise, creativity, and excellence in young scientists. The award shall be made in recognition of notable contributions made by him/her in any branch of S&T recognized by the NASI on the basis of work carried out in India.

Last Date: 30th May 2023

Eligibility Criteria for NASI- Young Scientist Awards 2023 :

  1. All the Indian citizens of India are entitle to apply for this award.
  2. The Overseas Citizen of India who is working in India are also eligible to apply
  3. The age of applying candidates should not be more than 35 years as on 15th April, 2023.
Young Scientist Platinum Jubilee Awards 2023 Prize :
  1. Young Scientist Platinum Jubilee Awards given to five (5) eligible candidates every year.
  2. Each selected candidates will be awarded Citation
  3. Bronze medal is also given to the selected nominee.
  4. Cash Rs. Twenty Five Thousand (25,000/-) will also be given to the candidates.
  5. The presentation of Awards will be made by the President, NASI at the time of the Annual General Body meeting to be held in December, 2023.
Nominators :

Below mentioned nominators are eligible to nominate the eligible candidates for the Award.

  • National Academy of Sciences, India.
  • Scientific Society of national standing,
  • University faculty,
  • Post-Graduate department or research institutions
How to Apply for Young Scientist  Awards 2023
  1. The nomination shall be made by the nominator in the prescribed format.
  2. The nomination format is available on the web portal, ie. www.nasi.org.in or www.nasi.nic.in
  3. One candidate may only be nominated once.
  4. Whereas a nomination will remain valid for consideration for 3 years or the age eligibility whichever is less.
  5. The nomination form along with the supporting documents needs to be submitted to the below-mentioned address.

  • Nomination form in the prescribed format
  • 20 copies of nomination form with only one soft copy in the form of a CD.
  • 20 Copies of reprints of five most important publications etc.
  • Proof of Age
  • Summary of Research work
  • Awards and other recognitions received
  • Statement about research contribution
  • List of Publications

All the above documents should reach to the Academy on or before 15th April 2023
