Eligibility Criteria for each of Telangana Scholarship:
Here below we are giving you every point of required eligibility of each scholarship of Telangana which must be fulfilled by the students to avail the benefits of scholarship.
PMS Post Matric Scholarship for SC/ST/BC/EBC & Disabled
- To avail the scholarship benefits, the student must be domicile of Telangana state.
- This scholarship is open for the students who are belonging to SC/ST/BC/EBC and Disabled categories.
- Aforesaid scholarship is given for studies at post-matriculation level (Class 11 to post-graduation)
- One more important eligibility for this is that the student should have passed Class 10 with minimum 75% attendance at the end of each three months (quarter)
Pre Matric Scholarship for for SC/ST/BC & Disabled
- To avail the scholarship benefits, the student must be domicile of Telangana state
- This scholarship is open for the students who are belonging to SC/ST/BC/Minority/EBC and Disabled categories
- Aforesaid scholarship is available for those students who are studying in Class 9 and Class 10.
- At the end of each quarter, student must have 75% of attendance or above.
- For Pre matric scholarship, the students families per annum income must be below than
| Rs. 2 Lacs (in case of SC/ST/BC/Minority students of Urban areas) and |
| Rs. 1.5 Lacs (in case of BC and Minority students of Rural Areas) and |
| Rs. 1 Lac (in case of EBC and Disabled students) |
NMMSS National Means cum Merit Scholarship Scheme
- To avail the scholarship benefits, the student must be domicile of Telangana state
- Aforesaid scholarship is available for those students who are studying in Class 9 and their continuation of studies in Class 10 to 12.
- Students family income should not more than Rs. 1.50 lacs per annum.
- To be a part of this scholarship, the student must have obtained minimum 55% or equivalent marks in Class 8 examination (5% relaxation will be given to SC/ST students).
- To participate in the selection test of scholarship, student must have obtained atleast 55% marks or equivalent in 7th exam (5% relaxation will be given to SC/ST students).
- Not Eligible – The students studying in NVS, Sainik Schools, KVS and private schools are not entitle to be part of this scholarship.
- For the continuation of scholarship in Class 10, the students clear promotion from Class 9 is required with minimum 55% marks or equivalent and continuation of scholarship in Class 11, atleast 60% marks or equivalent require to be obtained in Class 10 exam and continuation of scholarship in Class 12, atleast 55% marks or equivalent require to be obtained in Class 11 exam (5% of relaxation in percentage will be given to SC/ST students in every class exam)
Chief Minister’s Overseas Scholarship Scheme for Minorities
- The student should be domicile of Telangana State
- This scholarship is open for the students belonging to Minority community.
- Only the students whose age is not above than 30 years as on 1st July of year of application are eligible for the scholarship.
- The students parents income should not be more than Rs. Two Lacs (2,00,000) per annum from all sources.
- The applying student must be a graduate or postgraduate with having 60% marks in streams like Engineering, Agriculture Sciences and Medinie, Nursing, Pure Sciences, Management, Social Sciences and Humanities.
- The student must be willing to pursue a PG or Doctoral course abroad in USA, UK, Canada, Singapore and Australia.5. Telangana National Talent Search Examination (NTSE)
- National Talent Search Examination is open for 10th Class students who are studying at a recognised School in Telangana.
- The students who have selected for NMMS scholarships and studying X class now may also eligible to apply for NTS Examination but such candidates have to forego the further NMMS scholarships, if he/she is selected in NTS second level Examination.
Vidyadhan Scholarship Program
- Students who have completed their class 10 board exams or equivalent are eligible to apply for scholarship.
- They must passed their 10 class from major states such as Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka, Kerala, and Telangana.
- The student must have scored not below than 90% marks or 9CGPA in Class 10.
Mahatma Jyothiba Phule BC Overseas Vidya Nidhi
- The scheme is open for Backward Classes students.
- This is open for all eligible graduates to pursue PG studies abroad.
- Backward Classes students’ family income should be less than “Rs.1,50,000/- in Rural Areas and Rs.2,00,000/- in Urban Areas” per annum from all sources.
- The Maximum age under the scheme shall not exceed 30 years as on 1st July of the year of advertisement.
- The applicant must hold a valid passport.
- The applicants must require to obtain 60% marks or equivalent grade in foundation Degree in Engineering / Management / Pure Sciences / Agriculture Sciences /Medicine & Nursing / Social Sciences / Humanities.

Only one child of the same parents/guardians will be eligible to avail of the benefits of this scheme.
Telangana Scholarship Benefits:
PMS Post Matric Scholarship for SC/ST/BC & Disabled
- Under this scholarship, upto 100% reimbursement in Tuitions Fee (for most of the course) will be given to the student.
- Up to Rs. 20,000 or Actual Fee (for self-financed course) will be provided.
Pre Matric Scholarship for for SC/ST/BC & Disabled
- Selected students will be provided with scholarship funds.
- Various financial awards will be given to the students
NMMSS National Means cum Merit Scholarship Scheme
- The selected students will get Rs. 1000 per month (Rs. 12000/- per annum)
Chief Minister’s Overseas Scholarship Scheme for Minorities
- An amount of Rs. 5.00 lakhs shall be payable to the students towards living expenses and fees.
- Rs. 10.00 lakhs is sanctioned to the individual towards fees and living expenses.
- Other benefits like education loan, earnings from research/teaching assistance ship, passage grant, visa fees and utilization certificate.
Telangana National Talent Search Examination (NTSE)
- Rs.1250/- per month for Intermediate 1st and 2nd years.
- Rs.2000/- per month up to Post Graduation.
- For Ph.D as per UGC norms.
Vidyadhan Scholarship Program
- Rs 10,000 to Rs 60,000 per year as depending on the course ie. graduation and postgraduation courses.
- Rs. 6000/- per year will be given for Class XI and XII.
Mahatma Jyothiba Phule BC Overseas Vidya Nidhi
- Fees shall be payable in Two installments.
- In installment I, an amount of Rs.10.00 Lakhs shall be payable to the Institution /students upon production of the landing permit / I-94 card (Immigration Card).
- In installment II, an amount of Rs.10.00 Lakhs shall be payable to the Institution /students upon production of the 1st Semester results.
