Swami Vivekananda Merit Cum Means Scholarship
The main objective of this scholarship is to encourage economically backward minority students for higher education and to increase their employability by providing financial assistance. This scholarship is being offered by Minorities’ Development & Finance Corporation, Government of West Bengal. The selected students of this scholarship will get Rs. 12,000 to Rs. 60,000 as scholarships annually. Eligibility Criteria
- The student should be a citizen of West Bengal.
- He/she should be from a minority community.
- The student must be studying in Class 11 to PG in an educational institution in West Bengal.
- The applicant should have an annual family income of less than Rs. 2.5 lakhs.
- You must have passed the current exam in the year 2019.
- The student must have secured at least 75% marks in the Secondary Examination (for students studying in Higher Secondary level).
- Candidate must have obtained at least 75% marks in the qualifying exam (for students studying in diploma level courses).
- The student should have obtained at least 75% marks in the Higher Secondary Examination of WB Council of Education or Madrasah Shiksha Parishad. (For students studying at UG level)
- At least 53% marks at graduation level (for students studying at PG level).
- The student has secured at least 55% marks in Engineering (for students pursuing a Masters in Engineering).
Amount of Scholarship
The students who are selected for this scholarship will be provided with Rs. 12,000 to Rs. 60,000 as scholarships annually.

Eligible and interested candidates can apply for this scholarship by following the steps given below –
- Go to the website of “Minorities Development“ of West Bengal.
- Click on ‘New Registration’.
- Select the district where the applicant’s institute is located and click on ‘Proceed’.
- Fill the required information in the section “Student Information” and “Scheme Eligibility”.
- Click on “Submit and Proceed”.
- Write down the User ID that appears on the screen.
- Login using registered User ID and Password.
- Fill all the required information under the ‘Basic Information’, ‘Academic Information’, Details Bank Account Details’ section.
- Verify and lock the application.
- Print a hard copy of the application form and send it to the concerned institute along with the necessary documents.

Note -: All applicants are advised to fill the form correctly, no change can be made once the form is submitted. Applicants are also advised to fill the application form once as filling multiple application forms will lead to cancellation of all applications.

- Front and Backside of Mark sheet of the last academic examination
- Family income certificate
- Admit card of Madhyamik or equivalent examination
- Aadhaar Card or Ration card or Voter ID card
- The first page of the bank passbook where applicant name account no. and IFSC code should be mentioned.
- The Institute Verification Form has been duly certified in the format prescribed by the institution (HOI).
- Latest photograph of the candidate.
