Nature India Essay Competition 2023 CSIR for young scientists researchers & writers
Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) and Nature India will jointly organize ‘Nature India’ essay competition 2023. The event will provide a platform for young and experienced scientists, researchers, and writers from India to exchange ideas related to socially effective science.
Nature India ‘Essay Competition is open to 25 to 50-year-old readers. The essayists will write on science-related accounts so that it will help in preparing the roadmap for India’s scientific future. Essays should be up to a thousand words and views should be expressed on the social implications of science in India as a subject. Essays have to be written as motivational and story. The essays will be evaluated by a panel of editors, scientists, and individuals associated with science. The last date for submission of the essay will be midnight on March 9, 2023.
Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant must be a citizen of India.
- Nature India ‘Essay Competition is open to 25 to 50-year-old readers.
- The readers may be scientist, researchers, writers or authors are entitled to apply for the Nature India Essay Competition.
Nature India Essay Competition 2023 Cash Award Benefits :
Top three essays will be awarded a cash prize, which is:-
First prize: Rs. 40,000/-
Second Prize: Rs. 30,000/-
Third Prize: Rs. 20,000/-
- Apart from this, a three-year subscription to Nature, trophies, and certificates will also be given to winners.
- The winners will have their essays published in the Nature India annual volume as well as the Nature India blog Indigenous.
- Essayist and their ideas will also feature in a Nature India podcast.
How to Apply
- The interested candidates can enter their promotion in the way given below:
- Write an essay on the societal impact of science in India in a text file (.doc,.docx).
- Here you are also required to mention your email address.
- Submit the essay in the email address given here [email protected].
- The essay should be written in good and understandable English.
- The word limit of essay is 1000 words or less not including references.
- Essay writers will write on science-related accounts to help in preparing the roadmap for India’s scientific future.
- Essays should be up to a thousand words and views should be expressed on the social implications of science in India as a subject.
- Essays have to be written as motivational and story.
- The essay should be with an inspirational tone, emotions, and story-telling without too much sentimentality.
- The essay should ideally be informative and entertaining in equal measure. Adding a personal perspective to the narration is desirable.
Selection Criteria
The essays will be evaluated by a panel of editors, scientists, and individuals associated with science which is based on editorial impact and general quality of the essay and to existing science and reason.
- The last date for submission of essays will be midnight on March 9, 2023.
- The decision taken by judges will be final and binding and no further communication will be entertained
