NSTSS Objectives & Benefits
- The main objective of the National Sports Talent Search Scheme is to provide an appropriate platform to the emerging talent so that they can fulfill their dreams and their election can go ahead at the national and international level.
- Under the scheme, the student will be imparted training according to his interest in the said game, for which 1000 students will be selected.
- Under this National Sports Talent Search Scheme, a scholarship will also be made available to each student, whose amount has been fixed at Rs 500000, this scholarship will be given to the student every year for the next 8 years, through which they will be able to get training in sports according to their interest.
NSTSS Eligibility Criteria
- Within the scheme, any resident student and students of India can apply, for which their prescribed age is 8 to 12 years, it is mandatory that only those students who have passed the Physical Efficiency and Sports Aptitude Test can participate.
- Students of any caste community can get registered for the scheme, there is no family income rule under it, that is, students of any class can apply for this scheme.
- Under the scheme, players of any state of India can get registered, so forms are available in English and Hindi and many regional languages in the portal so that everyone can fill the form by selecting the language according to their wish.
- If a student is not able to register for this scheme or is disqualified, then that student can get registered again under this scheme after 6 months.
- Under this scheme, those students who have brought their name to the field by participating in sports and have achieved any achievement, they can be part of the scheme by uploading their bio-video and their information on the online portal.
Online Application Procedure
National Sports Talent Search Scheme 2023 (NSTSS) Portal has been launched by the government for online application within the scheme, for which three steps have been given.

1st Step – Registration Process
Interested students clicking on the National Sports Talent Search Scheme Online Portal, click on the registration link written on the right side of the home page and fill the form thoroughly and submit your login ID and password.
2nd Step – Login Process
After the registration process is complete, go to the home page and click on login. To login on the site, fill in your user ID and password that you would have received on your mobile phone.
After logging in your profile, fill in the information asked as if you have got a medal, a certificate or you have achieved other achievements in the field of sports and fill all the information related to your identity card. In this way, the information of your profile will be considered which you can submit in the portal.
3rd Step – SAI Registration
After completing the profile, you can apply for the Sports Authority of India, for which you can apply directly from the online portal, for this process, you have to fill all the information in your profile accurately. Sports Authority through your profile Of India will select you according to your qualification. Your name has been included under the scheme or not. You can use this portal.
Check Registration Status & Beneficiary List
To check your status, click on the check eligibility on the student online portal, after which a form will be open in which all the information is provided. Now click on the correct submit button, the beneficiary can know that his name is included under this scheme has been done or not.
