Sanskriti-Musicians Mani Mann Fellowship

Applications are currently being accepted for the Mani Mann Fellowship by Sanskriti Foundation. This one-year fellowship is open to Indian musicians who are between 25 and 40. Each of the winning candidates will receive Rs. 100,000 in total. Applications are accepted throughout the year. Young musicians are honored to study and learn under the patronage of an acclaimed master of Indian classical music in Hindustani classical music under Mani Mann Fellowship 2023. The fellowship has been started to encourage promising young artists to advance in their fields. This will enable the fellowship recipient to have the resources and time to devote to the arts.

  • The grant of Rs. 100,000 will be given in two phases to the selected candidates of the Mani Mann Fellowship program.
  • The first installment at the commencement of the award
  • The Second installment after the submission of completion of the project

Hindustani Classical Music Fellowship Eligibility

  1. The fellowship is open only to Indian citizens in the age group of 25 to 40.
  2. While this fellowship specifically encourages women applicants, all proposals that further welcome the objectives of the program.
  3. Applicant should have a degree/diploma in the field from a recognized university or institute and/or the candidate should have at least ten years of initial training in Indian classical music.
  4. The partner will be required to give at least 2-3 solo performances in recognized forums to his / her credit.
  5. The candidate will need to seek guidance from another senior guru and enhance the existing style. It will be a residency program for a period of three months, which can be spread over a period of one year. For this, the candidate has to get consent from his current guru and the guru he wants to go to.

  1. Candidates should send their two-page CV and an article of about 500 words that explain their project.
  2. Complete postal and telephonic contact details should be submitted along with any email ID for the convenience of contact.
  3. Some samples of previous work, projects, or performance must be submitted.
  4. The names and contact addresses/telephones of two referees should also be sent.
  5. The application should have the title ‘Mani Mann Fellowship’ on the envelope when sent by post and given in the subject line if sent through email on [email protected].
