Sanskriti Madhobi Chatterji Memorial Fellowship:- Applications for Smt. Madhobi Chatterji Memorial Fellowship in Indian Classical Music and Dance are invited by the Sanskriti Pratishthan. The applications can be submitted by the young artists who want to contribute towards inspiring the art form around the year.
The Sanskriti Pratishthan is giving the related awards and fellowships for arts, performing arts, culture, media, and social activism over the last 30 years. The fellowship is awarding to the applicants in order to encourage future young artists to improve their latent and flawless skills by giving them the resources and time to dedicate to the art. The selected candidates under the Smt. Madhobi Chatterji Memorial Fellowship will be granted with fellowship amount of Rs. One Lac (1,00,000/-).

Eligibility Criteria for Madhobi Chatterji Memorial Fellowship :
- All the Indian nationals of any generation of Indian Classical Music, like Vocal/Instrumental or Dance, like any form of choreography, are eligible to apply for the fellowship.
- Those proposals are welcomed that forward the objective of the fellowship program.
- To be entitled to the program, the candidates must have a minimum of some years of formal training in Indian Classical Music or Dance.
- To be a part of this fellowship applying applicants are required to have given at least 2 to 3 solo performances to their credit.
- The candidate will be helped to take direction from a source unavailable to improve their current style.
- The fellowship can be a residency program given for a period of 3 (three) years which can be spread over a period of ten (10) months.
Application Process for Madhobi Chatterji Memorial Fellowship :
- The interested and eligible candidates to apply for Madhobi Chatterji Memorial Fellowship should require to send a 2 pages Curriculum Vitae, a CD of their recital, and a write up of approx. 500 words explaining their project.
- In the project proposal, the candidates have to describe how the fellowship will give an opportunity to express their creativity and technical ability and expand their style.
- The candidates should also submit the full postal address and telephonic contact details along with email id.
- Also submit a few samples of previous work, project, or performances.
- The candidates must submit the names and contact addresses & telephones of 2 referees.
- The application envelope should subscribe to the title ‘ Sanskriti- Madhobi Chatterji Memorial Fellowship’ and send it all by post.
- The candidates should mail their CV and short description of their project proposal to Sanskriti Head Office. If the candidates are sending the application through email at [email protected] and should mention the subject line as ‘Sanskriti-Madhobi Chatterji Memorial Fellowship.
Madhobi Chatterji Memorial Fellowship Award Provided :
- The fellowship will be given for ten (10) months duration.
- The selected candidates will get a grant of Rupees One Lac (1,00,000/-) which will be given in two installments.
- The first installments of the grant of Rs. 50,000/- will be given to fellow at the start of the fellowship and a short mid-term progress report will be needed in this regard.
- The second installment of the fellowship will be given after the submission of the complete project.
