Jai Bhim Mukhyamantri Pratibha Vikas Yojana 2023 Guidelines
The Delhi government has launched the Jai Bhim Mukhyamantri Pratibha Vikas Yojana (JBMPVY). Free coaching and scholarship will be provided to students under the scheme. This scheme is for the students coming from SC / ST, OBC and EWS families living and studying in Delhi. The main objective of the scheme is to provide equal opportunities to students of all classes. Chief Minister of Delhi Government Shri Arvind Kejriwal has announced this scheme. Under the scheme, an amount of up to Rs 1 lakh will now be spent on coaching to all eligible students.
Eligibility Criteria
- The scheme is applicable only for students studying in Delhi
- The scheme is only for students belonging to Scheduled Caste / Tribe (SC / ST), Other Backward Class (OBC) and Economically Weaker (IWB) category.
- Income limit: Students who have a family income of 6 lakhs are eligible for this scheme.
- The scheme is only for the students studying in class X to XII
- However, in case of students having total family income up to 2.00 lacs, full admissible coaching fee is
to be provided by the Govt.
Benefits Provided
- Free Coaching: However in case of students having total family income up to 2.00 lacs, free coaching for the courses prescribed by the government to the students shall be given.
- Under the scheme, 75% of admissible coaching fee amount is to be provided by the Government and the remaining 25% to be borne by the students
- Scholarship: A scholarship of Rs 2,500 per month will also be awarded
Courses Covered under the Scheme
- Group A and B Exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), the Staff Selection Commission (SSC), Various Railway Recruitment Boards (RRB) and Judicial Service Examination
- Group A and B examination conducted by the State Public Service Commission
- Undertaking Grade Examinations (PSUs) of officers conducted by banks, insurance companies and public sector
- Premier Entrance Examination for admission in Engineering (IIT-JEE and AIEEE), Medical (AIPMT), Professional Courses like Management (CAT) and Law (CLAT)
