(PDF) ICHR Post Doctoral Fellowship 2023 Apply Online

ICHR Post Doctoral Fellowship (PDF) 2023-24; Such youth, who are interested in research in the field of history or its allied subjects and have a Ph.D. degree, can apply for a postdoctoral fellowship. Through this fellowship available by the Indian Council of Historical Research (ICHR), students can work on a research project. Candidates who have done brilliant research work equivalent to Ph.D. in history or its related subjects and who are willing to work on research subjects approved by the best institute under the guidance of a senior scholar can apply for ICHR Post Doctoral Fellowship (PDF) application form in the prescribed format for the academic session 2023. For the year 2023, a total of ten (10) Post Doctoral Fellowships (PDF) are available from which the reservations of fellowships applied for SC ST and PWD candidates.

ICHR Post Doctoral Fellowship PDF 2023-24 Details

• The ICHR Post Doctoral Fellowship shall be a whole-time engagement for research work and cannot be combined with any other whole-time or part-time work
• The duration of fellowships will be two (2) years.
• The award of PDF will be through the presentation-cum-interview.

Eligibility Criteria for ICHR Post Doctoral (PDF) Fellowship 2023

1. The interested candidates who have shown significant competence in research work, having been awarded their Ph.D. or have done equivalent research work of merit in History or its allied subjects for ICHR Post Doctoral Fellowship.
2. He/she must be desirous to work on approved research themes at recognized Institutions of Research or Universities under the guidance of a senior scholar for the ICHR Post Doctoral Fellowship.
3. The applicants for the Fellowship should be affiliated with a University or a research institute of repute.

Amount of ICHR Post Doctoral (PDF) Fellowship 2020-21

The selected fellows will be awarded a fellowship of Rs.30800/- per month and a contingency grant of Rs.22000/- per annum for two (2) years for the ICHR Post Doctoral Fellowship.

How to Apply for ICHR Post Doctoral (PDF) Fellowship 2023

1. The candidates who are interested and eligible to apply for ICHR PDF 2023 can apply for application form in the prescribed format.
2. Candidates can download the application form from the ICHR website, ie. www.ichr.ac.in.
3. Submit the application form along with detailed synopsis (5 copies) on the proposed research topic (both soft copy & hard copy) and also the required documents.
4. The applicant should attach self-attested copies of the certificates of educational qualifications, date of birth, research experience and signed copy of the checklist, etc., and be sent by post to the following address:

Application Fee:

• An application fee of Rs. 600/- (Rupees six hundred only) are required to be paid in the form of a Demand Draft.
• DD should be drawn in favor of the DDO, ICHR, payable at Delhi.
• Scheduled Caste SC/ Scheduled Tribe ST/Persons with Disability (PwD) category are not required to pay the application fees.

Selection Criteria for ICHR Post Doctoral (PDF) Fellowship 2023

• Based on the experts’ assessment (if recommended), selected candidates shall be required to make a presentation for half an hour on the proposed subject of research for the ICHR Post Doctoral Fellowship.
• The award of the Fellowship will be decided by a Committee of specialists, based on the experts’ evaluation of the proposal and the presentation made by the candidate.
• The award of PDF will be through a presentation followed by an interview to be held at ICHR offices
• The date & venue will be announced on the ICHR Post Doctoral Fellowship website.
