HP Medha Protsahan Yojana 2023:- The Government of Himachal Pradesh has launched “HP Medha Protsahan Yojana 2023” to provide assistance up to Rs 1 lakh to meritorious students for coaching purposes. The scheme will act as a boon for all students from poor and economically weaker sections (EWS). Students will be able to prepare for entrance examinations like Civil Services Exams which will create employment opportunities. The main objective of starting this scheme by the Himachal government is that the poor students who did not get their education when they did not have the money, can also make their future bright by taking advantage of the Medha Protsahan Yojana 2023.
The Medha Protsahan Yojana 2023 is a Student Scholarship Scheme. Under this scheme, the promising and low-class students studying in school colleges will get Rs. 01 lakh each, out of which 500 students will get a benefit of Rs. 1 lakh so that their future will be enhanced tomorrow. For the financial year 20202-21, the state government has allocated a budget of Rs 5 crore. This is a very good initiative of the Himachal Pradesh State Government to encourage meritorious students for higher studies.
HP Medha Protsahan Yojana will ensure that meritorious students do not have any difficulty in preparing for the exam and in building their careers due to a lack of money. All students will be provided guidance through specialist faculty in Coaching Centers located within or outside the state. HP Government started Medha Protsahan Yojana to provide assistance of up to Rs 1 lakh to class 12th and college meritorious students for all competitive exams conducted by UPSC and SSC and preparation for NEET, IIT-JEE, AIIMS, CLAT, AFMC exam, specialist faculty. An incentive scheme has been started.
Eligibility Criteria
- To apply for this scheme, the applicant must have a bonafide Himachali.
- Under this scheme, 350 students of 10 + 2 level and 150 promising candidates of graduation will be selected on the basis of merit.
- The income of the applicant family should not exceed Rs. 2 lakh 50 thousand (2,50,000/-) per year.
- Candidates who are studying in class 12 should have secured at least 75% marks in Class 11 examination (65% SC / ST / OBC / IRDP / BPL) and 50% marks in graduation (45% marks SC / ST).
HP Medha Protsahan Yojana Award :
- Financial assistance of maximum Rs.100 lakhs will be provided to the students selected under this scheme during their lifetime. The student will spend this assistance for maintenance, institute fees, books, and other published material during the preparation of the competition.
- Financial assistance to the selected student will be disbursed through the smart cards, which after fulfilling the eligibility conditions, the student will be deposited directly in the institute in person and this amount will not be spent on other work.
- 30% of seats are reserved for girl students.

- From the home page of the website, click on the link “HP-Medha-Protsahan-Yojana-Application-Form-PDF” at the end of the page.
- Open the PDF and download it. Take a print out of the application form.
- Fill the application form very carefully with all the asked information like the applicant’s name, father’s name, mother’s name, gender, category, etc.
- Sign the application form and take the signature of your parents as well.
