Haryana Merit-cum-Means Scholarship 2023
Haryana Merit-cum-Means Scholarship:-Social Justice & Empowerment Department, Govt. of Haryana provides the online application in the prescribed format for Merit-cum-Means Scholarship for the academic session 2023 from the students who belong to Minority community ( Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists, Parsis and Jains) practising Technical/Professional courses, selected by Ministry of Minority Affairs, Govt. of India, at UC Undergraduate and PG Postgraduate level in institutions recognized by appropriate authorities.
Eligibility for Merit-cum-Means Scholarship 2023 Haryana
- The students must be residents of Haryana.
- The student’s parents/guardian annual income should not be more than Rs. Two lacs Fifty thousand (2,50,000/-) from all sources.
- The candidates who get admission to a college to practise technical/professional courses on the basis of competitive exam. Will be entitled to the merit-cum-means scholarship scheme.
- The candidates who get admission in technical/professional courses without taking any competitive examination will also be eligible for the scholarship. However, such students should have not below than 50% marks at higher secondary/graduation level. These students selection will be based on merit basis.
- Renewal of the scholarship will depend on the successful completion of course during the preceding year.
Conditions of Haryana Merit-cum-Means Scholarship 2023 :
- It is very important that the Income and Minority Community certificate must be issued by the Sub Divisional Magistrate or Tehsildar, without it the application will be rejected. The income certificate would be valid for 1 year.
- The student’s Aadhar Card Number is necessary to apply online for Merit cum Means Scholarship in Haryana.
- The selected candidate must not be availing any other scholarship for practising the same course.
- The candidate should fill their own Bank Account Number and PAN card number to apply for online application and their bank account should be Aadhar enabled.
- There are 30% merit cum means scholarships are reserved for female students.
Amount of Haryana Merit-cum-Means Scholarship
The candidates will be given financial assistance to practise Graduate level or post-graduate level technical and professional course from a recognized institution.
The selected students will directly get the Course fee and Maintenance Allowance into their bank account.
Maintenance Allowance will be given for 10 months only-
- Hosteller Rate: Rs. Ten Thousand (10,000/-) per annum
- Day Scholar: Rs. Five Thousand (5,000/-) per annum
Course Fee –
- Hosteller Rate: Rs. Twenty Thousand (10,000/-) per annum or actual whichever is less
- Day Scholar: Rs. Twenty Thousand (10,000/-) per annum or actual whichever is less
Haryana Merit-cum-Means Scholarship How to Apply
- The willing and eligible candidates can apply online on the web portal at www.scholarships.gov.in.
- Then the students should need to forward their application online to their respective institutions and must take a print out of online filled in the application form.
- The print out of online filled in application along with other required documents is required to be submitted to the concerned institution.
- There the student will get the temporary ID which will be kept safe by the application for future use.
- The student must require to upload the documents which is necessary by the students for fresh and renewal both. Scrutiny of online application on the basis of uploaded documents will be performed by the institute/ district.
- The institution will examine and forward all these applications online by login on the website with a User ID and Password for renewal applications.
