Female students are invited to apply for the Google Women Techmakers Scholars Program  2023. Only qualified persons will be considered for this program and all applications should be submitted before the stipulated time. Female Techmakers Scholars will receive EUR  7,000 (or local equivalent) Award for the year 2023. An applicant will be selected for Google Women’s Techmakers Scholars Program 2023 from a group of female undergraduate and graduate students and scholarships will be awarded based on each candidate’s academic background and performance leadership. Those wishing to participate in its annual personal and professional development training and workshops have the opportunity to engage with Google mentors and scholars and leverage the online network of a global community of other participants.

Google Women Techmakers Scholars Program 2023 offers academic scholarships to women in honor of Dr. Anita Borg, who works for the upliftment of women in the field of computer science. Anita Borg is encouraging women to excel in computing and technology and become active leaders and role models in the field to create gender equality in the field of computer science.

Dr. Anita Borg devoted her adult life to revolutionizing the way we think about technology and removing barriers preventing women and minorities from entering the computing and technology sectors. As part of Google’s ongoing commitment to pursuing Anita’s vision, Google is proud to honor Anita’s memory and support women in technology with a technology called the Women’s Techmakers Scholars Program (formerly Anita Borg Memorial Scholarship).

All women Techmakers Scholarship recipients will be invited to attend the annual Women Techmakers Scholars Retreat at XNUMX over the summer to participate with fellow women scholars, network with Googlers, and attend several workshops. The program is one that opens the door to many opportunities for the famous computer scientist to promote her career.

Level/field of study:

Scholarships are available to pursue graduate studies, Masters, Ph.D. Program Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Informatics, or closely related techno ld eld in the following fields (STEM – Science Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics).

Nationality :

Scholarships are being taken in universities in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. If you are found in any class of female students, congratulations on applying for the scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria 

To be eligible to apply, applicants must:

1. Currently, be enrolled in a recognized university for the 2019-2023 academic year
2. Intended to be enrolled or accepted as a full-time or part-time student in a bachelor’s, master’s, or Ph.D. program at a university in Europe, the Middle East, or Africa for the 2023-2023 academic year.
3. Be studying computer science, computer engineering, informatics, or a closely related technical field.
4. Demonstrate a strong academic record.
5. Exemplify leadership and demonstrate a passion for increasing the involvement of women in Computer Science.

Google Women Techmakers Scholar Program 2023 Award Value:

• Scholarship recipients will each receive a € 7,000 (or equivalent) scholarship.
• A retreat opportunity to engage with fellow scholars and Google mentors by participating in professional and personal development training and workshops.
• An online network with fellow scholars, participants are designed to share resources, support a global community of women in technology, and collaborate on projects to make a lasting impact.

Selection criteria 

Multiple scholarships will be awarded based on the candidates’ academic performance, leadership experience, and a passion for computer science.

How to apply Google Women Techmakers Scholars Program 2023 :

1. The Women’s Techmakers Scholarship is a one-time scholarship. 
2. While previous applicants and finalists are encouraged to reapply but unfortunately, previous recipients of any Google scholarship, including the Women’s Techmakers Scholarship and the Google Anita Borg Memorial Scholarship, are not eligible to apply.
3. Complete online application and submit all requested documents.

The following application documents should be in English.

• General background information (includes contact information and information about your current and intended institutions)
• Current resume
• Academic transcripts from your current and former institutions (if you have earned prior degrees)
• A letter of reference from a professor, instructor, adviser or supervisor
• Answers to five essay questions.
