Free conference registration

- North America: Reimbursement up to 1,000 USD (unless otherwise noted) will be used towards reimbursement towards airfare and accommodation costs (awarded after the conference)
- Europe: Up to EUR 1,000 towards travel and accommodation costs (to be paid after the conference)
- India: An award in the range of 1,000 – 3,000 USD which will cover conference registration, travel, accommodation, and other related expenses.
- Africa: An award in the range of 1,000 – 3,000 USD which will cover conference registration, travel, accommodation, and related expenses. The scholarship amount depends on the cost of the international conference.
- Japan and South Korea: Up to 3,000 USD air tickets and stay costs (to be paid after the conference). The scholarship amount depends on the cost of the international conference.
Scholarships will be awarded to the most qualified individuals based on the application review. Each applicant will be informed of their status as per the time frame specified for the area.
Eligibility Criteria
Grant eligibility varies by region, so please review the information on the area-specific. Grants will be given to the most qualified individuals on the basis of application review.
To be eligible for the grant to attend a conference in India, applicants must:
- Nominee student with a recognized university in India who needs conference travel funds.
- Accepted a paper at the top-tier Computer Science Conference. They like to support conferences in research areas where Google has a strong interest. Please visit research.google.com for a list of regions. The paper should be accepted for full publication and preferably a full oral presentation. As an indicator, he has recently approved travel grants for CVPR, NIPS, CHI, STOC, PLDI, ICML, CIKM, KDD, ICCV, EMNLP, ACL, Interspace and FSE.
- Become the primary author of the accepted paper.
- A paper should be accepted for oral presentation in the main conference program. Some conferences may have different presentation guidelines, in which case the equivalent of a traditional full oral presentation should be considered. Workshop papers will not be approved for travel grants.

The claim process for Google Conference and Travel Scholarship
We review monthly, all year round, so you will get our reply in four to six weeks from the date of application.
Once approved for a travel scholarship, funds will be paid to the applicant’s university and the student can claim the expenses using regular university procedures.
Application deadline:
The deadline for the submission of applications varies according to different regions. The recipient will be notified by e-mail approximately 8 – 10 weeks prior to the conference date.
