The Bihar National Means Cum Merit Scholarship (NMMS) Examination 2020-21 is conducted by the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT). This exam is conducted for the students of class 8. Scholarships are awarded for further studies to the students who pass.
The exam will be held in November 2021. To get the scholarship, the students must appear in the entrance test first. Scholarships will be awarded to students only upon passing. The Bihar National Means Cum Merit Scholarship Examination 2021 is conducted by the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT). In this examination, only students of class 8 passed from the State Government / Indian Government / recognized Minority Schools / Madrasas can participate. Scholarships will be given to selected students from class 9th to class 12th.
Only those students studying regularly in class 8th in the year 2019 in schools run by govt / government-funded and local bodies located in the state of Bihar will be eligible for the examination, who have attained at least a “C” grade in class 7th. Rs 6,000 / – will be given to the students every year under this scheme. This amount is provided to students for further studies. Eligibility for Scholarship Exam-:
To appear in the Bihar National Means Cum Merit Scholarship Examination (NMMS), the first students will have to meet the eligibility criteria. If the eligibility criteria are not met, the application will be canceled. Students should be fully aware of the eligibility criteria for appearing in the examination.
- Students whose parents’ annual income does not exceed 1.50 lakhs, students can apply.
- 5 % discount will be given for SC, ST, and differently-abled students.
- Students have to get at least 55% marks in 9th grade to get the regular scholarship. And to get at least 60% marks in class 10th.
Application Form for Bihar NMMS 2021-:
The application for the Bihar NMMS 2021 examination has been released on the official website of the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT). Candidates wishing to appear in this examination can apply till 30 September 2021. The application can be made only through an online medium. There is no facility to apply offline. Students have to visit the official website to apply.

Exam Admit Card Bihar Scholarship-:
The admit card of the students who have applied will be issued by SCERT. The admit card will be issued on the official website of SCERT Patna. No student will be allowed to get an offline admit card. Let the students know that it is mandatory to have the admit card to appear in the exam.
Students will be able to get their admit card on the official website. Apart from this, students will also be able to get their admit card from the link given on this page. No student will be allowed to appear in the examination without the admit card. Students must take a print out after downloading their admit cards. Bihar Scholarship Exam Pattern-:
It is mandatory for the candidates to appearing in the examination to know the exam pattern. This helps the students to prepare for the exam. Following is the information about the exam pattern.
- Multiple choice questions will be asked in the exam.
- The exam will be taken on the OMR sheet.
- The general category candidates must get a minimum of 36 marks (40 percent) to pass this exam.
- SC, ST, and differently-able candidates are required to obtain a minimum of 29 marks (32 percent) for passing the examination.

Scholarship Exam Answer Key-:
The answer key of SCERT is also released after the complete examination. The answer key will be released on the official website of SCERT. After the release of the answer key, the student will be able to get the student’s answer from the link given on this page in addition to the official website. After the release of the answer, students can estimate their score before the declaration of the result.
The release date of the answer has been announced. The answer key will be released on 22 November 2021. After the release of the answer, the student can also do an object on the answer key. The last date for objecting to the answer key has been set as December 02, 2021. While objecting, the candidates have to give valid evidence. An application made without evidence will not be valid.
Scholarship Exam Result 2021-:
Bihar NMMS result is released on the official website of SCERT. The result is issued online only. No student will be informed about the result through offline, post or e-mail. The result is prepared based on the merit list. This merit list is prepared based on the marks obtained in the examination. Preference is given to students who score more. The name of the students scoring more marks is included first while preparing the merit list. Students can also be selected based on the cutoff of NTSE.
