AP Merit & other Scholarships scheme 2023-24

Merit & other Scholarships scheme 2023:- There are various Merit and other scholarship 2023 approved by the Department of Collegiate Education and funded by the Government of India and State Government to all those students who are continuing their study in the Government and private Aided colleges. This scholarship has been presented by the Commisionerate of Collegiate Education Government of Andhra Pradesh to support the commendable students in order to avoid them from discontinuing their education because of nonavailability or unaffordability of funds.

AP MERIT SCHOLARSHIPS

State Special Merit Scholarship

The State Special Merit Scholarship is funded by the Andhra Pradesh Government. In this scholarship scheme, 75 students will be selected from undergraduate classes. The candidate who qualifies the examination carried out by the Board of Intermediate Education will be selected. The amount of State Special Merit Scholarship is Rs. 150.00 per month and given for ten (10) months only on the basis of Merit list given by the Board of Intermediate Education. No limitations of parental income are fixed for the said scholarship.

State Merit Scholarship (Merit & other Scholarships scheme AP)

There are 300 scholarships that are put aside for the State Merit scholarship. The eligibility for this scholarship is postgraduate and undergraduate students. The selection of the candidate for State Merit Scholarship is based on the Merit list submitted by the Board of Intermediate and the concerned university. The selected candidates will get Rs. 50.00 per month for the first year, Rs. 75.00 per month for the Second and Third year for the undergraduate courses and Rs. 100.00 per month for postgraduate courses. The candidate is eligible for this scheme if their parents per annum income should not exceed Rs. Six Thousand (6000/-).

Uttama Vidyardhula Upakara Vietnam

Uttama Vidyardhula Upakara Vethanam is sponsored by State Government. There are 1150 number of scholarships under this scheme is available. These scholarships are provided to the Undergraduate students and selection is based on the Merit list given by the Board of Intermediate Education. The selected candidate will get an amount of Rs. 1000.00 per annum for their further studies. No income limitations is fixed for this scheme.

The awards allotted are 50 per each district in the State. The scholarships are given to the high ranking Arts & Science students in the district in the ratio of 40:10 correspondingly. No proposals are needed to be submitted by the students for this scholarship.

Pratibha Scholarship (Merit & other Scholarships scheme AP)

In the Pratibha Scholarship scheme, the students will be selected in the order of merit in the different categories like ST/ SC/ BC/Minorities/ PH/ OC/ Woman from the merit list of LAWCET I & II received from the Convener-LAWCET. There are 30 awards under this scheme. The amount of scholarship is Rs. 10,000/- every year. An A/C payee Demand Draft is obtained in favor of the candidate and sent to the law college where the student is presently studying. Those candidates are entitled to this scholarship scheme, whose parents’ income must not be more Rs. One Lac per annum.

OTHER SCHOLARSHIPS

General Merit Scholarship (Andhra Region):

The General Merit Scholarship is sponsored by the Andhra Pradesh Government. There are 350 scholarships, which will be awarded to Post-Inter and Post Degree students. The parent’s income limit is fixed is Rs. Six Thousand per annum. The amount of scholarship sanctioned for I year Degree Course/Diploma (Prof. Course) Rs. 200/-p. m. and I P. G/Degree Course (Prof. Course) Rs. 300/-p.m

Riayathi Scholarship (Telangana Region):

The Telangana region, Riayathi Scholarship is are given to the Post inter ad Post degree students. 175 numbers of scholarships are available under this scholarship scheme. The parents/guardian income limitation is Rs. 6, 000.00 per annum. The amount of scholarship sanctioned for I year Degree Course/Diploma (Prof. Course) Rs. 200/-per month and I P. G/Degree Course (Prof. Course) Rs. 300/- per month.

Scholarship for Children of Government Servants who died during service period:

This is a State Government Scholarship. The number of scholarships under this scheme depends on the budget available. No parent’s income is fixed for the said scholarship.

The amount of scholarship sanctioned for I year Degree Course/Diploma (Prof. Course) Rs. 200/-p. m. and I P. G/Degree Course (Prof. Course) Rs. 300/-p. m

Scholarship for Children and Grand Children of Political Sufferers:

This is a State Government Scholarship. The number of scholarships depends on the available Budget. The parent’s income for this scholarship is Rs. 3, 600/- per annum required. The selected students for Degree courses are given Rs. 300/- per annum.

Scholarships for the Students from the Non-Hindi Speaking States for the Post Matric Studies in Hindi:

This scholarship is funded by the Government of India. The number of scholarship awards is 192,(i.e. 144 scholarships are for Degree and rest 48 scholarship are for Postgraduate). There is no limit of parental income. Under this scholarship program, the selected candidates will get the following-

I year Degree Rs. Five Hundred per month

II year Degree Rs. Five Hundred per month

P. G and above Rs. One thousand per month

The selection of the candidates is based on merit from among the received application from colleges.

Scholarship for the Students in Oriental Colleges (Only Renewals):

These scholarships are funded by the State Government. The number of scholarships based on the budget available. The parental income limitation for this scholarship is Rs. 3, 600/- per annum and the rate of Scholarship is Rs. Four Hundred per annum.

Scholarships to Economically Backward Classes Students:

The scholarships are also started to the students belonging to Economically Backward classes from all communities except to those categories who belong to SC/ST/BC minority because separate scholarship schemes are already is in operation. The scholarship to Economically Backward Classes students is given to those who are studying in polytechnic, professional colleges (other than Medical), and University colleges. This scheme is a State Government Scheme. The scholarships are limited as per budget provision under this scheme. These awards are sanctioned to the eligible candidates based on merit cum means. The students whose parent’s annual income is not more than Rs. One lac from all sources is eligible for this scholarship scheme.
