The Telangana government has launched a scholarship scheme for the Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) students of the state called the Ambedkar Pravasi Vidya Nidhi. Under the scheme, students will be given the grant to study abroad. The Social Welfare Department of the Telangana Government has implemented this scheme. The main objective of this scheme is to provide equal opportunities for education to students from socially and economically backward classes.

Eligibility for Scholarship
- This scheme is applicable only to the students of Telangana State.
- This scheme is applicable only for students belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe categories.
- Income limit: The annual family income of the applicant should be less than Rs 2.5 lakh.
- Age Limit: The age of the application should be below 35 years until 1 July.
- Education: Students should have a minimum of 40% marks in the eligibility test.
- Only one child from a family will be given a scholarship.
- The applicant must have a valid TOEFL / IELTS and GRE / GMAT test score.
- The applicant must have a proposal for foreign university admission.
