The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) is inviting online applications for the disbursement of Post Graduate Scholarship to the Indian students. The candidates who have cleared GATE/GPAT examination are welcomed to apply for AICTE PG Scholarship 2023 for Post Graduate. The scholarships are available for the 1st year students of the academic year 2023 who have taken admission to AICTE approved institutes in the following courses M, E., M. Tech., M. Arch., M. Pharma.
Through this AICTE scholarship scheme, the bright students can get financial help and can develop their quality technical education through their GATE/GPAT scholarship scheme.
All the Institutes shall up-load the eligible PG Student’s details on the AICTE portal and distribute student’s Unique ID generated by the system to all the PG students admitted in AICTE approved programs/ Institutions during 2023.

Eligibility Criteria for Scholarship
- AICTE GATE/GPAT scholarships are open for Indian candidates.
- Applicants who have passed the GATE/GPAT examination are entitled to apply for AICTE GATE/GPAT scholarship.
- GATE candidates who admitted to M. Tech and M.Arch and GPAT candidates admitted to M. Pharm are eligible to apply for the AICTE scholarship.
- Candidates admitted for part-time courses are not eligible for GATE/GPAT scholarship.
AICTE Scholarship Benefits
The AICTE PG Scholarship 20 for Post Graduate will cover the following benefits :
- The scholarship will be given to the students for a maximum of 24 months of duration or till the completion of course whichever is earlier.
- GATE/GPAT scholarship shall be given from the date of the start of classes or date of admission, whichever is later, to complete the course or date of submission of the thesis.
- The selected candidates will be given a scholarship amount of Rs. 12,400 per month for GATE scholarship
- The scholarship amount of Rs. 12,400 per month will be given to the candidates for GPAT scholarship.
- For the scholarship amount, the student must have general savings account in the bank. The amount will not be disbursed to the joint accounts.
How to Apply for Scholarship 2023
The eligible applicants can apply through the online mode for AICTE GATE/GPAT scholarship. You must have to register yourself on the AICTE website to apply for the scholarship. The registration link is also given below for the applicants’ convenience. The details application process for the scholarship is given below.
- First of all, the Post Graduate candidates who are having valid GATE/GPAT score need to collect the Unique ID from the institute and login on the AICTE Web portal at aicte-india.org
- For the further process, the students must have to enter some details to get their Student ID.
- Students have to verify their ID by filling the required details in it.
- Then they have to upload the required documents which must be in JPEG/PDF format only.
Required Documents for Scholarship
- A scanned copy of the GATE/GPAT scorecard should be uploaded.
- Scanned copy of the first page of Bank Passbook having the details of the beneficiary, Name of the Bank and Branch and IFS Code should also be uploaded.
(Note – the bank account has to be Aadhaar seeded with Aadhaar Card details. The bank account should not either be closed or transferred during the period of course).
- Scanned copy of the valid Category Certificate for SC/ST, OBC & Non-Creamy Layer (NCL-latest issued by the Competent Authority for OBC candidates only).
- Scanned copy of Aadhar Card ( if available)
- Physically Disabled Certificate is also required to be uploaded.
- NPR Card Copy should also be uploaded
